Here we are on WEEK 2 of our BCNL Staff Time-Lapsed Grow Opp.
This week we have experienced some major growth and it is the time to top these little girls.
Topping causes the plant to react to removing growth just above a strategically chosen growth node by shooting out two stems where there was once one. This node is chosen by selecting the area that would benefit the most from an exposed canopy. In this case, these plants are being topped to create two major stems that will create an even canopy as these plants mature. As the process goes on, we will have to top these plants many times, mostly because these plants grow so fast in the BCNL Producer Boxes!
Here is a brief video showing the Node selection and cut. Enjoy!
